The Blueprint for Success: Living Your Full Potential with Iteration Next
You know that feeling when you’re facing a new challenge, and the way forward becomes clear?
When how you’re showing up resonates with what you know you’re capable of?
When we live into our full potential, our energy shifts.
We stand up straighter.
We move with more confidence and ease.
We are so much more effective.
But getting to that point can be difficult.
We know our potential, but figuring out how to get from here to there can be daunting.
Overwhelming.
Hard.
You’re not alone.
I’ve spent 15+ years of my career in product management. As a product manager, product leader, product management consultant, and consultancy leader, I’ve trained new PMs, grown senior PMs, and coached product leaders.
I’ve long held the belief that being great at product doesn’t just serve the products and teams you work on - it serves you in anything you’re hoping to achieve in your work and life. Being crystal clear on the outcomes you’re looking to achieve, understanding who you’re serving and why (including yourself), breaking big problems down into a manageable roadmap and backlog, and running and learning from experiments as you iterate - these are invaluable resources in being successful in any aspect of work or life.
At Iteration Next, my coaching clients leverage these methodologies to achieve their career and professional goals through the Iteration Next Framework. We use a digital whiteboard to implement the Framework, applying these core constructs to the areas where they want to grow and live into their full potential.
Over the coming weeks, I’ll be sharing a bit more about each of the components of the Iteration Next Framework:
Outcomes
By getting crystal clear about what you want to be true in the future, in your future, you have a north star for your decisions and motivation for when times get tough.
Personas
Understanding who is impacted by your goals and your work helps you create a plan that will achieve the results you’re looking for. This includes understanding yourself, what makes you tick, what lights you up, what breaks your heart.
Roadmaps & Backlogs
It’s not enough to have a dream - you need a plan and a to-do list. You need to figure out the concrete things you’ll do to create the future you want, and ways to validate that you’re headed in the right direction.
Experiments
The best plans are informed hypotheses about how the future will unfold. By running small, frequent experiments to validate your direction, you increase your chances for success.
